In 1991, I wasn’t thinking about homeschooling. It wasn’t on my radar, and it wasn’t part of the plan.
At the time, I was simply trying to navigate my own life. I was living through a realization that the world’s "one-size-fits-all" approach to success didn't fit the reality of human talent. I saw that when we ignore individuality, we stifle the very thing that makes us valuable.
I sat down and wrote a statement—not as a curriculum guide, but as a personal creed. I wrote it for myself, based on the life I was living:
"The steps we take to achieve education must be a quest for knowledge. For every person, these steps must be different. Personal goals, talent, and individuality must be realized in order to maximize creative potential and add value to the steps along the way." 1991 D.M.A. Jr.
From a Personal Creed to a Family Legacy
It wasn't until later, when I looked into the eyes of my own children, that I realized those words weren't just for me. They were the blueprint for their future.
My wife helped me see the deep importance of giving our children a faith-inspired education. That was my lead. Through her example, I came to understand how profoundly that choice would shape not only their future, but ours as a family.
Why HomeschoolEdu Exists Today?
I built this site because I don't want you to have to "reinvent the wheel" the way I did. I took the conviction of that 1991 statement and spent decades building the infrastructure to support it.
The Guides, the philosophy exist because I know what it’s like to feel like the system doesn't "see" your child’s true potential.
The AI & Technology Tools are here because I want your family to have the most modern assets to direct your own path.
The Privacy & Compliance Paths are my way of removing the "fear" so you can focus on the "Quest."
I lived it first.
I have seen this philosophy take four children all the way through to college success and beyond. But more importantly, I have seen it create families that are connected, creative, and sovereign.
You aren't just choosing a different way to do school. You are choosing to believe that your child’s individuality is their greatest gift.
I believed it for myself in 1991. I believe it for your family today.
